Rhode Island Comic Con 2014



This year’s Rhode Island Comic Con was a general success.  The Comic Con attendance greatly exceeded the organizer’s expected turnout compared to all prior years.  In fact, the Rhode Island Convention Center exceeded their expected numbers compared to all other events… ever!  (Nerd pride.)  However, the convention was not without problems.  You can read about the over-capacity debacle here:


But for now, let’s focus on the other experiences, which were generally positive.  The con took place on November 1st – 2nd with a Halloween party the night before (on Halloween).  The party was decently attended.  I enjoyed the drink list which had tasty choices such as the Ecto-1, the Ooze, and the Beetlegeuise.  And of course, it was a great place for the cosplay to begin.

hallIt’s time!! Well, sort of… I’m sure a lot of you are planning to either hold or attend a Halloween party this weekend, so we thought it might be fun to throw out some of our favorite “spooky” recipes that we found while scouring the web. It’s Halloween Time!!


As you might imagine, next to our birthdays and any other holiday where we recieve gifts, our favorite holiday is Halloween!

It’s that time of the year where you don’t have to deal with Con-Funk or costs but still get to go out in public dressed up as your favorite characters without being judged. Heck, you can even dress up in a crappy costume and with almost complete confidence of not winding up on a “Worst of Cosplay” list! Not that that happened to any of us or anything…*ahem*…..
