Over the summer, Grumpy cat found time in between naps and “No’s!” to put out a kids book.  Grumpy Cat: A Grumpy Book is a 96 page book full of Grumpy Cat Meme’s, pictures, and activities.  The activities are mostly word puzzles, coloring, mazes, or connect the dot games.  It’s the type of book that parents who are fans of Grumpy Cat will buy for themselves but can also share with their children for the activities.

One disappointment that I have with the book is that most pictures are meme’s, or they are pictures that we have already seen.  My Fiance and I made our own Grumpy Cat calendar last year because there wasn’t a good one available at the time, and we found a bunch of cute Grumpy Cat pictures that could have went into the book.  I would have thought that over the past year or so they would have had a ton of interesting pictures to see.  Unfortunately that just isn’t the case.  The low price point of $13 makes up for the disappointment, and it’s still a worthy buy if you have kids.

To help promote the book, Grumpy Cat has been on tour for the past few months, but unfortunately the official Grumpy Cat website doesn’t list tour dates.  You will have to check your local book stores to see if she’s coming any time soon.  On October 16th, Grumpy Cat stopped in Bookends in Ridgewood, NJ for fans to take pictures with the celebrity cat.  All you had to do was buy a copy of the inexpensive book.  After going to New York Comic Con where some celebrities were charging on average of $75 for a photo op, $13 was a steal.  We weren’t allowed to touch Grumpy Cat, which is completely understandable and totally fine.  For the most part she slept the entire time as if nothing was going on.
