Book Review: Marvel vs. Capcom: Official Complete Works

Marvel vs. Capcom
Official Complete Works
by Capcom

There usually isn’t a whole lot to say when it comes to reviewing art books like this.  That being said I’ll focus on the key points.  The book is very high quality, the stock of the paper is very nice and it feels well made.  The book covers quite a few games including Marvel vs. Capcom 1, 2, and 3, The Punisher, X-Men: Children of the Atom, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, and more.  The main focus is really on the MvC franchise though.  There’s plenty of concept art and promotional art, but not too much behind the scenes info.  The highlight for me is the tribute section which was filled with plenty of original art that I had not seen before.  When I first saw the art style for MvC 3 I was instantly drawn to it and this book let’s me appreciate it all the more.

Here’s a few samples of the gorgeous stuff you’ll find in these pages.

So, what do you think?
