Ever since the previews first ran for ABC’s 8 episode mini-series Galavant (which was sort of a spot holder for Once Upon A Time), I had been anxiously waiting for the premiere. Not only did it look hilarious, but the cast included Timothy Omundson, Ricky Gervais, John Stamos, Weird Al, and Anthony Head! With a stellar cast like that, this obviously wasn’t something I could just pass up even though I currently watch about 10 shows at the moment.

Who doesn’t!?
I’m going to start by saying Nerd-Base.com is not, whatsoever endorsed by Krispy Kreme (seriously though, that would be rad…one day the site will be big enough…maybe). Also, I am not a fan of the pirate fad. What self-respecting geek doesn’t love tasty junk food and coffee? Anyway, I do love their donuts and signed up for the mailing list because they often have fun specials like this. This is seriously pretty ridiculous and I just had to share.

Seriously. That’s kind of awesome.

So, because I find this so amusing, if any of you decide to go the full-blown pirate route, and go to a Krispy Kreme all dressed up, send me pictures and I’ll post it on the site and link to your blog/twitter/ect just because that’s kind of awesome.

Hello and Farewell!

Hello to our new host at WordPress, and farewell to our old host on Tumblr.

The nerd-base.tumblr.com account will remain active, but it will act more like most tumblr accounts do, reposting relevant articles and pictures from other blogs, as well as serving as a community presence there.

With the move, we now have the option for comments and discussion on posts, a more well-fleshed-out follow system, a larger community base, better site customization, and best off, an easier option to finally get more contributors to the site (which you’re TOTALLY open to email me about if you’re interested!!).

So, here’s to looking forward to better things!!

Don’t forget, the Nerd-Base crew (okay…so far it’s just two guys, maybe three if he ever decides to post, hehe) are going to be at Pi-Con in Enfield, CT this weekend. If you’re going and you want to meet up, email me from the site and we’ll sort something out!
