A while back David had informed me that a live action version of one of our mutual all-time-favorite anime series, Rurouni Kenshin had been released. We watched it with understandable reservations. Thankfully, so thankfully, our reservations were unnecessary. For the first time a live action version of an anime/manga had been made that kept true to not only the appearance of the characters, but as well the story that made us love the series.

Granted, much like a long novel being made into a film, much of the story was abridged, but the basics were kept and that was good enough.
Just this morning, David had shared a link on my facebook wall, nothing needed to be said, just the trailer. The trailer for a live action version of one of the greatest story arcs in manga/anime history. So without further ado, I now share it with you:
Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno/The Legend Ends hits theaters in Japan on August 1st 2014 and should see a DVD release some time in December (aka, when we here in the US who aren’t fluent in Japanese will be able to see it!)
